There were multiple ways to ENGAGE with Chatham County to celebrate our 250th anniversary! All Chatham 250 events and activities helped residents and visitors alike explore the uniqueness of Chatham County. Throughout this celebration, we featured activities and events showcasing our County’s creative arts, community and diversity, nature, agriculture, and growth and change.

The Chatham 250 Passport Experience -  self-guided tour meets scavenger hunt - offers nearly 20 accessible and fun activities per passport that are also designed for a COVID-19 safe environment.

Chatham 250 hosted five Chatham 250 Events throughout the Chatham 250 Passport Experience highlighting our County’s creative arts, community and diversity, nature, agriculture, and growth and change. All events are free and open to the public.

Throughout the Chatham 250 celebration, Chatham 250 collected items for the official Chatham 250 Time Capsule. The Time Capsule was sealed at the conclusion of Chatham 250 and it is not to be opened again until Chatham County’s 300th year, in the year 2071.
