The Chatham County community was invited to spend the night camping at a designated campsite, in your own backyard, a homemade fort, and for one night only, at the B. Everett Jordan Dam!
Chatham 250 offered Camp Out Kits and FREE In-Person Camping at B. Everett Jordan Dam.
Camp Out Kits
Chatham 250 offered Camp Out Kits for our distance and at-home campers. These kits included smores supplies, a bandana, and a few surprises for our event sponsors. The kit also included a login information for livestream programming during the camp out.
In-Person Camping at B. Everett Jordan Dam
For *one-night-only* B. Everett Jordan Dam was open for camping to celebrate the Great Chatham County Camp Out. The FREE in-person Camp Out included an exciting evening of cultural and nature programs, including storytelling with Bynum Front Porch storyteller Cindy Raxter, a campfire sing-a-long with musician Eric Sommer, guided hikes and ranger programs with the staff from B. Everett Jordan Dam.
